Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of January 11, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 4,288 (133 children out of this number, 184 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 303,062.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,372 persons, 68 patients died, 4,819 persons recovered. There have been conducted 16,061testing (12,043 using the PCR method and 4,018 using the ELISA method).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 1,119,314 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 796,417 people recovered;
  • 19,835 people died;
  • 5,781,951 testing have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.

The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine urges when having the first symptoms of respiratory illnesses to call a family doctor. Stay home! Self-isolation is the most efficient way to protect yourself from infection.
