During the first month of operation of the online platform "All-Ukrainian Online School" since its launch on December 11, 2020, it was visited by more than 2 million users who interacted with the platform almost 5 million times. This was announced by the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet.
"In order to reduce the risk of contracting coronavirus from 8 to 24 January in Ukraine, there have been introduced strict quarantine measures. Some of them also apply to educational institutions. In particular, students do not attend school during this period. In some general secondary education institutions, vacations prolong, and in some, distance learning is organized. This decision is taken by the school administrations together with the local authorities. Institutions of vocational, professional pre-university and higher education teach through a distant format. Kindergartens and special educational institutions operate as usual with abiding by anti-epidemic measures. A month ago, the All-Ukrainian Online School platform was launched to organize distance learning for schoolchildren. We expect that the statistics of using the online platform will grow. The platform helps to organize high-quality distance learning and guarantees equal access to educational materials for students across the country and abroad," said Minister of Education and Science Serhii Shkarlet.
Currently, 60,317 users have been registered on the platform. Of those are:
schoolchildren - 40,340;
teachers - 16,509;
participants – 3,384.
To use the platform, everyone can register for free. Registration on the platform gives one an opportunity to enroll in training courses, view materials and follow achievements. After activating your account, you can select the required courses for training. In addition, a list of courses can be found on the user's personal page.
The All-Ukrainian Online School platform was created at the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
