The Government has allocated over UAH 15 million in aid from the UN World Food Programme to purchase equipment for school canteens and kitchens in 203 frontline educational institutions, Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi announced.

The support will cover schools in six regions: Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv. It will improve conditions for preparing food and serving meals to primary school pupils, including in communities near the front line.

"The funding is fully provided by international aid and does not require additional spending from state or local budgets. We are grateful to our international partners for supporting this area," the Prime Minister said.
