
Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection
According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of October 5, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 230,236 COVID-19 cases, 101,252 people recovered, 4,430 patients died. During the 24 hours, 3,774 new cases have been officially confirmed.
A total of 2,397,905 samples in Ukraine were tested using PCR method. During the 24 hours, 1,145 patients have recovered.
As of October 5, coronavirus disease was registered:
- Vinnytsia region – 6,822 cases;
- Volyn region – 8,734 cases;
- Dnipropetrovsk region – 7,137 cases;
- Donetsk region – 4,413 cases;
- Zhytomyr region – 6,934 cases;
- Zakarpattia region – 10,219 cases;
- Zaporizhia region – 4,630 cases;
- Ivano-Frankivsk region – 14,345 cases;
- Kirovohrad region – 1,184 cases;
- Kyiv – 24,736 cases;
- Kyiv region – 9,918 cases;
- Lviv region – 21,294 cases;
- Luhansk region – 1,294 cases;
- Mykolaiv region – 3,819 cases;
- Odesa region – 14,729 cases;
- Poltava region – 2,965 cases;
- Rivne region – 13,248 cases;
- Sumy region – 5,453;
- Ternopil region – 14,421;
- Kharkiv region – 20,964;
- Kherson region – 1,496;
- Khmelnytsky region – 6, 968;
- Chernivtsi region – 15,286;
- Cherkasy region – 4,550;
- Chernihiv region – 4,677.
Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
