Strengthening the economy, fair social policy, the growth of living standards and further development of the country should unite Ukrainians and become a real solution to recurrent problems for the country. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during a speech in the Parliament.
"I am acutely aware of people’s problems. Why this is so? Because there were no changes in social policy. In 2014 we received a weak social policy, a weak economy and many challenges. And now, the growth of incomes of citizens is at the bedrock of our policy. I do not agree with a statement that we have not done anything for five years. 2014-2015 were challenging years for our country. We lost one fifth of the economy. What do we have now? We started recovery, we raise social standards, in particular, average and minimum wages, we have recalculated pensions. Moreover, the first recalculation was made long before the election - in 2017. Last year we began monetization of subsidies and we created a register of recipients of subsidies", the Head of Government stressed.
The PM cited examples of social programs, including the Available Medicines program.
"Yes, we have problems that bother people. The only solution is strong economy, fair social policy and development of the state. Let's unite around this idea", the Prime Minister urged.
