Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi spoke with Mateusz Szczurek, Director of the IMF's European Department, and the IMF mission. Starting Monday, the mission will work on the second and third reviews of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program, under which Ukraine could receive $1.67 billion.

During the conversation, the parties discussed fiscal policy, the financial sector, tackling the shadow economy, the 2027 budget, and securing international financing for 2027–2028. Teams from the Ministry of Finance and the National Bank of Ukraine will work on these issues together with the IMF mission.

The Verkhovna Rada has supported the draft State Budget for 2027 in the first reading. The Government plans to refine it and submit it for the second reading after consultations with the IMF.

"It is important to have agreed parameters for all key indicators and the volume of external financing. The budget must be balanced, reflect the challenges of wartime and guarantee funding for the state's priority needs," Sergii Koretskyi emphasized.

The Prime Minister thanked the IMF for its steadfast support of Ukraine.

"We look forward to productive work," the Head of the Government added.
