Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi, together with fellow members of the Government and Members of Parliament, met with representatives of local communities in Lviv region.

The Head of Government stressed that "the key issue is getting through the heating season." Russia launches 300–400 drones every day at critical infrastructure facilities and also attacks with missiles, including ballistic ones. The main strikes are currently targeting frontline and central regions, as well as the capital.

"But we definitely cannot count on the enemy leaving the west of the country alone. That is why it is critically important to keep protecting critical infrastructure facilities and ensure backup power, above all for electricity, heat and water supply systems," Sergii Koretskyi emphasized. "This winter, we will likely turn to the western regions again for practical assistance, in particular to bring in additional emergency crews of power engineers to repair the damage from Russian attacks in Kyiv and frontline regions. Only by acting together, united and cohesive, will we be able to stand up to the enemy and keep the country running."

The participants also discussed in detail the financial situation of the regions.

"The Government has restored funding for all previously suspended expenditures, and there are currently no delays in payments," the Head of Government noted, stressing once again that "this was a forced step due to the difficult situation with public finances."

They also considered issues related to tax revenues to local budgets, funding from the regional development fund, differences in tariffs, and support for business.

"We will take into account the issues and proposals raised by the communities in the revised draft budget for 2027," the Prime Minister assured. "Together with MPs, we are now working through the budget conclusions after the first reading."

Sergii Koretskyi assured that the Government is ready to quickly adopt the decisions communities need.

"An honest, constructive and frank dialogue is exactly what we need for our resilience. I thank all the communities for precisely this kind of dialogue," the Head of Government said, expressing his gratitude.
