On March 14, within the framework of the Open Government Week and communication platform #OneVoice a meeting dedicated to combating corruption was held at the Government House. Representatives of the Government, the public and international experts shared their thoughts, developments and researches.
Advisor to the Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman Dmytro Stoliarchuk opened the event. He placed a special emphasis on the priority of the tasks of preventing corruption in the work of the incumbent Government. "The experts of all state bodies are involved in the implementation of the anti-corruption strategy. The support of this group is also provided by the USAID # InterAction Program. The Ministry of Information Policy plays an instrumentalrole, as it is responsible for anti-corruption communications ", Dmytro Stoliarchuk stressed.
State Secretary of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine Artem Bidenko briefed attendees on the experience of implementation of the Anti-Corruption Communications Strategy in 2018 and priorities for the current year.
During the event, the USAID Program # InterdAction experts Mykhailo Koryukalov, Marta Yeremenko, Roman Vibranovsky shared their experience in implementing anti-corruption measures, conducting effective anti-corruption communications and presenting analytical public opinion polls on the perception of the phenomenon of corruption in Ukraine.
Kate Head, International Media Solutions spoke about the current trends in communications in social networks that need to be taken on today. She drew attention to the fact that citizens should be consistently informed about the process of reforms, so that they understand what and how it happens in different spheres.
Deputy State Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Serhii Dehtyarenko and Oksana Velychko, coordinator of the Government-public initiative "Together against corruption" presented the 8th report on the results of monitoring of implementation of measures to prevent corruption in October-December 2018, which are carried out by central executive authorities within the framework of decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
