Following the principles of transparency and prolonging the consolidation, strengthening the introduction of best practices and corporate governance standards, ensuring the stability of the operation of the companies' management, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine announced an open competition for the position of Chairman of the NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine Board. The decision was taken by the Government on March 6, 2019.

The competition starts on March 23 - the day after the contract of the acting head of the oil and gas company is terminated. The competitive selection will last for 30 calendar days.

The selection of the Chairman of the Board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine will be held in line with Resolution No. 777 "On the Competitive Selection of the CEOs of Business Entities in the Public Sector of the Economy".
