  • Gov’t approves a decision to set up National Early Intervention Council

    On March 6, 2019, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a Resolution "Certain Issues of the Activities of the National Early Intervention Council".

    The National Early Intervention Council is established as a temporary advisory body of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine aimed to prepare proposals for the formation and implementation of a state policy on the introduction and development of early intervention services in Ukraine in order to protect young children with maldevelopment or the risk of any disabilities, support for parents, legal representatives of such children and to ensure the relevant protection of interests of the child.

    The implementation of the adopted resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine shall promote the effective functioning of the National Council, coordination of activities of executive authorities with international partners on early intervention issues, preparing proposals for the formation and implementation of state policy on early intervention in relation to children with disabilities or the risk of emerging any disabilities, and their families, improving the quality of early intervention services provision, reducing the disability rate in Ukraine and preventing their institutionalization at an early age.
