The amalgamation of communities that became possible due to the decentralization reform should be completed this year, so that 100% of Ukrainians feel the benefits of reform and appreciate the new quality of life. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman made this statement during a meeting of the Regional Development Council in Vinnytsia.

"Decentralization is a new philosophy of life. And now we should switch from settlement of current problems to the development of communities", said Volodymyr Groysman. "It is vital to have a strategy – not to work in a manner "today for today’s results", but work "today - for the future results". For example, in 2016, the Government approved a strategic Action Plan by 2020. We success in implementation of it, we report every quarter. There are clear priorities we focus on while achieving the set goals. And the regions also should have the same strategies and plans that the Government has."
