During his working visit to Brussels, Ukraine's Minister of Defense Stepan Poltorak took part in a pentalateral meeting of defense ministers of the U.S.A., Canada, Great Britain, Lithuania and Poland in the QUINT format.

During the meeting with the heads of defense departments that provide the most valuable support to Ukraine, the main efforts were coordinated to ensure the supporting of five framework elements of the defense reform: defense management, defense planning on the basis of capabilities, defense procurement in Ukraine in line with the requirements of European directives and operations on external markets, optimizing the structure of forces and capabilities, integrating the "soft and hard" power of Ukraine to protect Ukraine's national interests.

"We will become stronger in co-operation with our friends and allies on all international platforms and through the introduction of international monitoring tools to control the security situation around Ukraine, especially in the regions of the Black and Azov Seas", said Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak during the event.
