The modern government, the public administration system should find solutions for their citizens faster than any problems could become a threat, hence those should be flexible and capable of responding to any challenges, says Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Olexandr Saienko.
"In matters of public administration, the reform of the civil service must always be innovative and up-to-date. Therefore, the ability to work in proactive mode, new approaches, professional growth of civil servants and the system of public administration are top priority issues in the process of public administration reform", he said speaking at the seminar "Ukraine: Leadership in Cooperation for Adaptation and Development" on February 14.
The Minister stressed that only through the effective and coordinated cooperation with local authorities the government can solve problems, which is why the Government is carrying out reforms, changing approaches to public administration.
"One of the main goals of the civil service reform is to create a "flexible power" that is capable of responding to new challenges. Certainly, this is not easy, but only in this way, changing the philosophy of the system, we will achieve a better result", Olexandr Saienko emphasized.
In turn, World Bank Country Director for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Satu Kakhkonen emphasized that the World Bank has always been a committed partner of the Government of Ukraine for diagnosing and responding to the consequences of the crisis for further sustainable development.
