The Ukrainian Government will prolong a policy of reforms aimed at restoring economic growth, achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and bringing the country closer to the European and Euro-Atlantic future. Denys Shmyhal noted that along with digitalization, the launch of large-scale privatization, and the adoption of a law on state support for projects with significant investments, the state had taken a number of important steps to attract foreign investment to the country. In particular, it introduced the land market and created the Diia City to ensure the development of IT industry.

"Ukraine remains committed to strengthening energy independence, developing a sustainable economy, including the development of trade and investment space," the Head of Government said.

The Prime Minister also stressed that ensuring the rule of law is a solid foundation for building investment attractiveness on.

"The development of the stock market and the continuation of pension reform are also important goals that need attention. It is important for us to implement the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government, the EBRD, the ACC and USAID on the establishment of a national mechanism for exchange trade in capital markets and organized commodity markets," stressed Denys Shmyhal.

Moreover, the Prime Minister noted that with the support of Canada, the Government had approved a new public policy instrument based on the principles and approaches of RBM, thus allowing for better evaluation of the activities of ministries, quality planning and implementation of the set tasks.

According to Denys Shmyhal, Ukraine seeks to engage in the reform process not only representatives of the Government and Parliament, but also local governments, the private sector, civil society, academia, the youth and international partners.

"The Reform Conference due in Lugano will allow for consolidating our efforts for the further success of Ukraine's reforms, stability and prosperity," the Prime Minister stressed.

During the meeting, participants discussed progress in implementing corporate and judicial reforms, decentralization, energy conservation and energy efficiency.

In conclusion, the Prime Minister thanked the development partners for their commitment to strengthening democratic transformations for the benefit of the citizens of Ukraine.
