Sergii Koretskyi: Rescue operation underway in Bucha district, nearly 400 people evacuated

Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi visited the scene of the emergency in the Bucha district this morning. He received briefings from the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Head of the State Emergency Service and the leadership of the regional military administration.

The rescue operation is continuing, and nearly 400 people have been evacuated.

At present, 27 people are known to have been killed. Others have been injured. All the necessary emergency services are working at the scene.

Sergii Koretskyi thanked the rescuers, police officers and medical teams for their work and for helping those affected.

Law enforcement agencies are investigating, and criminal proceedings have been opened into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy caused by the russian strike.

“In the fifth year of the full-scale war, we cannot allow tragedies such as the one in Vyshneve – and now this one in the Bucha district – to happen again,” the Prime Minister emphasised.
