Sergii Koretskyi: All those responsible for the tragic consequences of the strike in Kyiv region must be held fully accountable
Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi received briefings from the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Head of the State Emergency Service on the consequences of the enemy strike in Bucha district of Kyiv region.
The impact caused a fire followed by detonations. The Kyiv–Chop highway has been temporarily closed. Police officers, rescuers, explosives experts and all other necessary emergency services are working at the scene.
Urgent measures are being taken to protect and rescue people and, where necessary, evacuate them. All the resources required to deal with the aftermath of the attack have been deployed.
“Regrettably, it is already clear that no lessons were learnt from the horrific tragedy in Vyshneve,” Sergii Koretskyi said.
The Prime Minister stressed that repeating the same mistakes in the fifth year of the full-scale invasion amounts to criminal negligence. All those responsible, without exception, must be held fully accountable to ensure that such incidents are never repeated.
The Prime Minister expects an immediate and strict response from law enforcement.
