Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of August 3, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 984 (59 children out of this number, 48 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection).

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 5,911,202 vaccines have been made.

On August 3, 2021, 153,258 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 34,141- CoronaVac vaccine, 57,090 – Comirnaty vaccine, 9,105 – AstraZeneka, Janssen – 0, Moderna – 52,922.

Vaccination was carried out by 943 mobile immunization teams, 2,612 vaccination points and 279 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 572 persons, 43 patients died, 570 persons recovered. There have been conducted 47,442 testings (22,533 using the PCR method, 8,064 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 16,845).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 2,255,345 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,188,273 people recovered;
  • 53,024 people died;
  • 11,446,663 testings have been conducted.
