  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of October 6, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 234,584 COVID-19 cases, 103,401 people recovered, 4,520 patients died. During the 24 hours, 4,348 new cases have been officially confirmed.

    A total of 2,423,031 samples in Ukraine were tested using PCR method. During the 24 hours, 2,149 patients have recovered.

    As of October 6, coronavirus disease was registered:

    • Vinnytsia region – 6,930 cases;
    • Volyn region – 8,880 cases;
    • Dnipropetrovsk region – 7, 372 cases;
    • Donetsk region – 4,561 cases;
    • Zhytomyr region – 7,070 cases;
    • Zakarpattia region – 10,317 cases;
    • Zaporizhia region – 4,746 cases;
    • Ivano-Frankivsk region – 14, 451 cases;
    • Kirovohrad region – 1,194 cases;
    • Kyiv – 25,091 cases;
    • Kyiv region – 10,099 cases;
    • Lviv region – 21,494 cases;
    • Luhansk region – 1,333 cases;
    • Mykolaiv region – 3,894 cases;
    • Odesa region – 15,021 cases;
    • Poltava region – 3,270 cases;
    • Rivne region – 13,374 cases;
    • Sumy region – 5,676;
    • Ternopil region – 14,610;
    • Kharkiv region – 21,451;
    • Kherson region – 1,544;
    • Khmelnytsky region – 7,263;
    • Chernivtsi region – 15,444;
    • Cherkasy region – 4,687;
    • Chernihiv region – 4,812.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
