Ministry of Veterans Affairs and IOM mission in Ukraine signed agreement on implementation of joint projects in the field of reintegration of veterans

Minister of Veterans Affairs Iryna Friz and  Chief of  International Organization for Migration Mission in Ukraine Dr. Thomas Lothar Weiss signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

Thus, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs and the IOM, which joined the United Nations System as a related organization, have concluded an agreement on implementation of joint projects in the field of reintegration of war veterans and members of their families.

The parties agreed on cooperation in a number of areas: ensuring the rights and interests of veterans and members of their families; provision of psychological rehabilitation of veterans, as well as their social and professional adaptation, employment, increase of competitiveness in the labor market; promotion of a positive image of the veteran; improving receipt of information  by veterans regarding existing rights, privileges, social services and opportunities in other areas.

The joint cooperation envisages implementation of a number of activities, programs and projects, in particular, to exchange experience and  to apply best international practices in Ukraine, to organize trainings, seminars, as well as to run jointly information companies.
