Dmytro Kuleba and Josep Borrell discussed preparations of sanctions against Russia

The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba had a telephone conversation with the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.

The Head of European diplomacy informed the Minister about the results of the meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.

Josep Borrell invited Dmytro Kuleba to take part in the next meeting of the Council.

The interlocutors discussed the preparation of sanctions against the Russian Federation in order to deter it from playing out aggressive plans against Ukraine and Europe.

The Minister and the EU High Representative paid special attention to the prospects of advancing the diplomatic settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict.

Josep Borrell confirmed the absence of intentions at this stage to evacuate family members and staff of the EU Delegation to Ukraine.
