Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of January 27, 2022, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 34,408 (5,341 children out of this number, 808 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 30,166,832 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 15,278,387 people have been vaccinated. On January 27, 2022, 81,098 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 12,565 – CoronaVac vaccine, 60,626 – Comirnaty vaccine, 1,444 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 6,463.

Vaccination was carried out by 971 mobile immunization teams, 3,330 vaccination points and 436 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 3,342 persons, 144 patients died, 6,142 persons recovered. There have been conducted 168,073 testings (91,934 using the PCR method, 6,589 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 69,550).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,980,610 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 3,608,094 people recovered;
  • 99,882 people died;
  • 17,848,132 testings have been conducted.
