MFA comment on permanent attempts to commit acts of aggression against Ukraine

he inhabited localities and positions
of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the border regions with Russia are being
shelled from the territory of Russia, the Ukraine’s airspace is being violated
by the Russian military aviation and drones, there is being held continuous accumulation
of subdivisions and means
of the Russian Armed Forces and
deploying gunners’ locations, and these facts contradict the statements aired
by the Russian party. As a result of bombardment there are victims among the
civilian population and soldiers, destroyed residential, administrative and
commercial buildings.

On August 4, 2014 the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine once again sent a note and expressed categorical
protest to the Russian party in connection with permanent attempts to commit
acts of aggression against our country, that were committed through 1 – 3 August
of the current year. In particular, the positions of the Armed Forces of
Ukraine near the state border checkpoints Dovzhansky,
Dyakove and Chervonopartyzansk,
inhabited localities Dyakove and Stanytsya Luhanska in Luhansk region
and Amvrosiyivka of Donetsk region were shelled
from the territory of Russia. In the areas of the
inhabited localities of Blahovishchenka, Herasymivka, Krasna Talivka, Shyroke and Yuhanivka of Luhansk region were fixed violations of
Ukraine’s airspace from the territory of Russia by eleven helicopters, in particular
MI-8, MI-24 and KA-52. Remotely piloted airplanes have violated the airspace
of Ukraine from the Russian territory in the area of border checkpoint Dovzhansky, inhabited localities of Herasymivka,
Zolotarivka, Blahovishchenka
and Yuhanivka of Luhansk region, and also Sedove of Donetsk region. The Russian special
services continue to support terrorist organizations called the Donetsk People’s
Republic and the Luhansk People’s Republic, as well as to send mercenaries to
Ukraine to destabilize the situation. The warfare against Ukraine and its
people is being conducted just with Russian weapon and with participation of
the Russian citizens. We categorically demand
from the Russian side to immediately put an end to such criminal actions
which are directed against independency, sovereignty and territorial
integrity of Ukraine, to withdraw the troops from the border with Ukraine and
join the efforts of our country and an international community in order to
stabilize the situation in Donetsk and Luhansk region. |
