On Saturday, March 15, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha held a meeting with Head of the Federal Chancellery, Federal Minister for Special Tasks of Germany Wolfgang Schmidt, who is visiting Ukraine.

The parties discussed the path to a just and lasting peace in Ukraine. In this context, Andrii Sybiha emphasized that Ukraine, like no other country, is interested in ending the unprovoked and destructive war started by russia and informed about the outcomes of the talks in Jeddah this week.

The Foreign Minister expressed his deep gratitude to Wolfgang Schmidt for his personal role in ensuring multibillion German assistance to Ukraine in the military, financial, energy and humanitarian spheres over the past three years.

The Head of the Federal Chancellery, for his part, assured that Germany would continue to stand firmly on the side of Ukraine and informed about the latest decisions in Germany aimed at creating opportunities to increase funding for the military needs of our country in the near future.
