Government shapes policy on accessible digital services for veterans
The Government is shaping policy on accessible digital services for veterans. Receiving services should be as convenient and simple as possible. This was emphasized by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
The Government’s initiatives include the following:
- Updating the eVeteran ID
Now, the digital certificate is generated automatically based on an entry in the Unified State Register of War Veterans, which is maintained by military units. This update shall allow veterans to use services on the Diia app immediately after being granted veteran status, without having to wait for a paper document or submit its number to the register.
- Launch of the new “Data from the Veterans Registry” service in the Veteran Pro section of Diia
Users will now be given the opportunity to view their personal data from the veterans registry to verify its accuracy and, if necessary, make changes through the “Data from the Veterans Registry” service. In the first phase, only the ability to view data will be available.
“Online services for veterans are just one part of the Government’s initiatives. Among the priority tasks is providing veterans with the necessary conditions for rapid rehabilitation and subsequent reintegration into civilian life. This is part of a seamless transition from military service to civilian life,” noted the Prime Minister.
