Ukraine and UAE expand economic cooperation and partnership in energy and reconstruction

On the sidelines of the URC-2026, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko had a meeting with UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Al Hashimy.

The parties discussed strengthening the partnership between our countries and exploring more promising areas for future cooperation.

"Even in wartime, Ukraine is ready to share its experience in developing new approaches to defense and strengthening energy resilience. This is already an area of active cooperation with our partners in the Middle East," stressed the Head of Government.

Yulia Svyrydenko and Reem Al Hashimy discussed expanding economic cooperation, including the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between Ukraine and the UAE, which enters into force next month and will open new opportunities to deepen our bilateral relationship. The parties also explored the potential for cooperation in the energy sector.

They paid special attention to cooperation in housing construction as a key component of Ukraine’s recovery.
