Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection
According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of March 19, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 15,850 (830 children out of this number, 401 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 241,629.
Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 92,714 people have been vaccinated, of whom 92,713 have received 1 dose, and 1 have completed vaccination (received 2 doses).
On March 18, 2021, 10,959 people were vaccinated against COVID-19, of which 10,959 persons were vaccinated with 1 dose, vaccination was completed (2 doses) - 0 people.
Vaccination was being held by 210 mobile immunization teams.
During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 4,444 persons, 262 patients died, 4,592 persons recovered. There have been conducted 115,274 testing (53,379 using the PCR method, 21,241 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 40,654).
During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:
- 1519926 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
- 1248782 people recovered;
- 29515 people died;
- 7573737 testing have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
