Continuing the monitoring mission of the Ministry of information policy of Ukraine Advisor to the Minister on ensuring TV and Radio broadcasting Oleksandr Bryhynets visited the city of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region. "After meeting with Mayor Olga Opanasenko it became clear that the situation concerning renewal of the Ukrainian broadcasting in this region is not critical, but there is work to do. The city is at a distance of 20 km from the occupied territories.

The signal from transmitters located in Artemivsk is received here. 70% of the residents have cable TV, which, of course, airs only Ukrainian TV channels", - said Advisor to the Minister from ATO zone. Advisor also added that previously, the city received TV signal from the TV tower on Karachun, which was destroyed by military actions. So after its renewal, which is planned tentatively in April 2016, the Ukrainian broadcasting will completely cover the region.

Oleksandr Bryhynets also noted that during the survey of local residents it was revealed that the separatist TV channels "cannot reach" Chasiv Yar, but some radio stations are accepted here. This situation is annoying for locals who want as quickly as possible to disassociate themselves from hostile air.

Recall that the monitoring mission of the Ministry of information policy of Ukraine continues its work in ATO area. In the framework of the visits of the mission, the information on the presence on the air licensed and unlicensed Ukrainian broadcasting, including broadcasting of the Russian Federation and the separatists will be checked. The monitoring group will operate along the entire front line.
