Government allocates UAH 518.3 million to enhance backup IT systems for state authorities

Amid Russian attacks on digital infrastructure, the Government has allocated UAH 518.3 million from the State Budget's reserve fund to enhance backup IT systems used by state authorities. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi.
"The funds will be used to create geographically separated backup environments and sites, cloud infrastructure, and to purchase server equipment, software, as well as backup and recovery systems," said the Prime Minister.
The Government's decision will enable state authorities to restore state systems and services more quickly in the event of damage caused by shelling or cyberattacks.
"We need to be prepared for a range of scenarios, including the worst-case ones," the Prime Minister noted.
