Yulia Svyrydenko: Journalists help the world see the reality of russian aggression
During wartime, journalists fulfil a special mission. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko stressed this while congratulating media professionals on their professional holiday.
“You document the truth, counter disinformation and help the world see the reality of russian aggression,” Yulia Svyrydenko said. “Many journalists work alongside our service members, showing life on the frontline, reporting on the work of the Defence Forces and documenting the enemy’s crimes while risking their own lives.”
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, at least 130 journalists have been killed. Another 28 remain unlawfully detained in russian captivity.
“We thank everyone who works every day in pursuit of the truth, documents history and brings Ukraine’s voice to the world.
Happy Journalist Day!” the Prime Minister said.
