Arseniy Yatsenyuk: Gov't switches to hebdomadal regime of subsidy analysis
The Government of
Ukraine switches to the hebdomadal regime of procedure analysis of subsidy
assignment granted to the citizens of Ukraine, Prime Minister of Ukraine
Arseniy Yatsenyuk informed at a meeting of the crisis energy staff on Monday,
August 3.
He has underlined
that without an effective system of subsidies "it will not be able to
provide the high level of payments for energy."
Arseniy Yatsenyuk has emphasized that "there is a process already under way, but there is also sabotage and subversion" from certain representatives of local authorities. In particular, he has pointed out Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
"It has been allocated
billions from the budget to each family in need to cover an appropriate amount of
subsidy. People get a payment bill worth a thousand hryvnias,
of which the sum worth UAH 500-800 should be compensated by the Government, but
people hear lie, they are deliberately dissuaded from applying for a subsidy
and money is pulled out of the pockets of Ukrainian citizens, the money provided
by the state, however the local authorities just refuse to assign the housing
subsidies. People are threatened either with fines or a seizure of property. So,
this is a political sabotage against the country's citizens," stressed the
Head of Government.
The Prime Minister
stressed that he had appealed to the Prosecutor General's office of Ukraine, the
Security Service of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine “to
immediately launch criminal proceedings regarding the inaction of local
government staff in the issue of assigning subsidies and, in fact, robbery of
the citizens of the country."
