Naftogaz transfers USD1.65 billion to Gazprom pursuant to Brussels agreements

Naftogaz Ukrainy has transferred USD1.65 billion to Gazprom as payment for the gas that was earlier delivered and not paid for.

Thus, under the agreements reached in Brussels, Naftogaz paid USD3.1 billion in two tranches for 11.5 billion cubic meters of gas supplied by Gazprom in November -December 2013 and April-June 2014. The first tranche in the amount of USD1.45 billion was transferred on 4 November.
