Ostap Semerak: Lithuania directs adviser to Ukrainian Government to assist in implementation of the AA

Former chief advisor to the President of Lithuania Nerijus Udrenas is to assist the Government of Ukraine in the implementation of the Association Agreement.

Such an agreement has been reached today, on October 15, at a meeting of Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Ostap Semerak with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine Mr. Petras Vaitiekūnas.

Ostap Semerak has thanked the Lithuanian side for directing to Kyiv one of the most experienced professionals in the field of reforms and harmonization with the European Union. For the last ten years Nerijus Udrenas has served as chief advisor to Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus as well as to current Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė.

In addition to practical assistance in the integration of Ukraine into the EU it was also agreed on the use of the solid experience of N. Udrenas in implementing a range of government reforms.
