Ministry of Economic Development discusses priority cooperation lines between Ukraine and Norway

The acting Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Valerii Piatnytsky met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Norway to Ukraine Elvedal Fredriksen.

The parties discussed cooperation priorities between the two countries. In this context, they emphasized the importance of the due visit of the Prime Minister of Norway in Ukraine, scheduled for November 18, 2014.

Mr. E. Fredriksen stressed that the Norwegian Government is poised to promote integration processes related to the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union and share the experience of Norway in trade and economic cooperation with the EU in areas that pose interest for the Ukrainian side.

The interlocutors tackled possible priority lines aimed at effective implementation of the Association Agreement, in particular in the areas capable to provide access for Ukrainian origin goods to the markets of the EU and Norway.

The acting Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine added that due to applying of European standards the Ukrainian entrepreneurs now have more perspectives to sell goods on the market of Norway.
