The reform of the New Ukrainian School, which starts from September 1, should begin in the modern New Educational Space. This is not only a modernization of schools based on the principle of "new walls, roof and windows." This is a completely different approach to security levels, energy efficiency, internal design, inclusive education, and modern equipment. At the moment, the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services is actively working on the implementation of the New Educational Space, and the Ministry of Education and Science - on the introduction of the New Ukrainian School. Vice-Prime Minister/ Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko said in an interview with the 112.UA TV channel.
"Both pupils and parents must be confident of the level of security of the educational space, as well as the quality of education in the school they choose. We have changed state building standards in terms of accessibility and, most importantly, security. These are also new approaches to the design and infrastructure around schools, sports grounds, educational workshops and road infrastructure", Hennadii Zubko claimed.
The Vice Prime Minister stressed that schools being updated in line with the modern standards of the new educational space significantly affect the motivation of students for studying and the level of knowledge of schoolchildren. "The school in Putrivka, Kyiv region was the first school that has implemented this pioneering approach. And today it is one of the best examples of successful passing of external independent testing among the schools of the region. This tangible result inspires us. We spare no efforts to ensure that a pupil in the village receives education, that is not worse than in Kyiv or in any hub school in Ukraine", Hennadii Zubko underscored.
