Yulia Svyrydenko: russia must be held accountable for every Ukrainian life lost

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, together with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko, paid tribute to those who died as a result of the russian strike on a residential building in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv.

The attack killed 24 people, including three children. Forty-eight people were injured, including two children. Another 30 people were rescued.

The search and rescue operation lasted over 28 hours. More than 200 rescuers from the State Emergency Service, the “DELTA” special unit, and six canine teams worked at the scene. Employees of the National Police, the State Migration Service, the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, Disaster Medicine, the capital’s utility companies, DTEK, and the Kyiv Emergency Rescue Service were also involved in the aftermath of the strike.

“I thank all the rescuers and services for their swift coordination and selfless work to save people. russia must answer for every life lost, taken by the shelling of our residential neighborhoods and peaceful cities,” emphasized Yulia Svyrydenko.
