State to fully reimburse tuition fees for veterans’ children studying on a fee-paying basis in the 2026–2027 academic year

Veterans’ children studying on a fee-paying basis will have their tuition fees fully reimbursed in the 2026–2027 academic year after the Government extended the relevant programme, Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi announced.

The support will be available to students at professional pre-higher and higher education institutions.

“Despite the difficult financial situation, supporting veterans and their children remains one of the state’s highest priorities,” the Prime Minister said.

To receive the funding, students must apply to their educational institution and provide the required documents. A certificate will then be generated in the Diia app and must be confirmed within 20 calendar days.

The Ministry for Veterans Affairs will transfer the funds directly to the educational institution. If a student has already paid all or part of their tuition fees, the institution will refund the amount paid.
