This was announced at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. Today, on August 21, the Head of Government presented the current state of affairs in the economy, social sphere, education, medicine, defense, and identified 12 priorities that required more attention from the new Government.

According to the Prime Minister,  Ukraine has something to be proud of and something to strive for in order to be a successful state.

"It is important for us to ensure that everything achieved has its continuation. The experience of many countries, including European countries, demonstrate that if the decisions made are implemented systematically, then there will be result", Volodymyr Groysman stressed.

PM recalled that to this end, the incumbent Government has introduced a new tradition - the preparation of transition books and the public identification of the country's development priorities.

"We have laid the foundation that can become a blueprint for the new Government to move further", the Prime Minister noted.

In proof of his words, the Prime Minister cited a number of macro indicators that have been achieved recently. Thus, the volume of international reserves reached $21.8 billion, inflation has fallen to unambiguous indicators, the national currency rate remains almost unchanged since 2016, and the volume of debt has decreased from almost 80% of GDP to 60% and continues the trend to decline. The economy in the second quarter showed growth to the tune of 4.6%.

"Attention should be paid to economic growth. And it is necessary to achieve growth one and a half to two times more than now. And make that growth sustainable", Volodymyr Groysman said.

The key to achieving this goal is to attract investment, and this is possible under the conditions of creating a favorable business climate. The current Government has secured Ukraine's position in the ease of doing business index. If these dynamics are preserved, then Ukraine, according to the Prime Minister, will be able to enter the TOP-30 best countries in the world ease of doing business index. PM is confident that it is real to achieve this target.
