Today, at an extraordinary meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine with the participation of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a decision to hold open meetings of the Government was made.

On the proposal of the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov, the introduction of online meetings of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine are vital measures aimed to abide by the decision to ban mass gathering of people to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus.

“Given the threats associated with coronavirus infection and to ensure the stable operation of the Government, I propose to amend the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine regulations accordingly and introduce the possibility of holding online meetings. Even members of the Government, who are not able to attend the meeting in person, will have a chance to participate in the decision-making process online,” Mykhailo Fedorov suggested.

This proposal was adopted by the Government officials unanimously with the document to be finalized in a two-day’s term.
