Today, on April 16, the Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Oleksii Chernyshov paid a working visit to Poltava region.
The Minister held a meeting with the regional leadership dedicated to the state of implementation of the Government's commissions, in particular, on curbing the spread of COVID-19 and the epidemiological situation in the region, as well as the construction of the facilities within the framework of the national Great Construction project and the State Regional Development Fund. Together with the head of Poltava Regional State Administration Oleh Sinegubov visited several construction sites.
"The national construction project initiated by the President was launched in Ukraine in March. Within the framework of this program, the Poltava region has set a goal in 2020 to complete the construction and reconstruction of 5 schools, 5 kindergartens and 5 stadiums. The total project budget exceeds UAH 194 million. From the State Regional Development Fund, there will be leveraged the sum of UAH 48.8 million, from the local budget - UAH 73 million and the same sum from other sources. Three sites are currently under construction.
Projects vary in scale and cost. But all of those are relevant for the region because they are aimed at improving the quality of life of residents of the region.
"The Great Construction is an important tool for regional development. A new hub school, a modern CASP, a completed kindergarten, and repaired roads - these are the things that increase the standard of living of Ukrainians in communities. It is such things that affect the development of regions, and therefore of Ukraine," the Minister said.
As part of the visit, Oleksii Chernyshov visited several sites under the Great Construction project. In particular, he got familiarized with the construction of a hub school in Zavodske, which is planned to be put into operation by September 1, 2020.
Moreover, the Minister visited the site of construction of the CASP in Poltava, pre-school institution №6, Poltava Regional Center for Emergency Medical Services and Disaster Medicine and the first stage of the bypass road M03 Kyiv - Kharkiv - Dovzhansky.
The head of Poltava regional state administration Oleh Sinegubov noted that "despite the coronavirus pandemic, the "Great Construction" in the region is ongoing. Among our top priorities is the construction of roads and medical facilities. We control the progress of construction and are set to put into operation all planned projects according to the deadlines."
