At an extraordinary meeting of the Government, Olha Buslovets was appointed acting Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine.
Olha Buslovets noted that the Ukrainian energy sector faces a number of challenges that need an immediate response.
“At present, we are experiencing one of the most complex crises in the history of Ukraine and the crisis in the energy sector is an integral part of it. It is quite obvious - the urgent resolution of systemic problems in the energy sector is a matter of national security and I am aware of the key role of the Minister at that challenging time. During the week, a list of measures needed for the energy industry as a matter of urgency will be compiled. These measures will be aimed to ensure technical, fuel and economic balancing of the energy sector, ” stated the acting Minister of Energy and the Environmental Protection.
Olha Buslovets stressed that the main objective of today is to ensure the stability of Ukraine's power grid.
