Government to fully fund the Defense Forces
Funding for the Defense Forces will be guaranteed. This is the Government's unconditional priority, Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi stated.
According to him, regional budgets have settled all their September obligations, and the remaining October ones will be closed in the coming days.
"Regional budgets have covered all September payments, as the Government promised. In the coming days, we will close out everything outstanding for October," the Head of Government said.
At the same time, international financial support remains critically important for other budget expenditures, in particular the implementation of resilience plans.
The Prime Minister noted that the Government has met all its obligations, and the Verkhovna Rada has adopted a number of important bills.
"This allows us to receive at least EUR 4 billion as early as November. I thank the Members of Parliament once again for supporting these decisions," Sergii Koretskyi said.
In total, about EUR 29 billion is needed. To receive the remaining funds on time, several more bills must be adopted during the next plenary week.
"Any delay in voting could mean that part of the international funding doesn't arrive this year. That would risk forcing another suspension of funding for some budget items," the Prime Minister emphasized.
All ministers are working with parliamentary committees and groups, providing MPs with the information and explanations they need.
"We look forward to continued productive cooperation with Parliament," the Head of Government concluded.
