The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has streamlined the process for restoring elements of the gas transport system and electricity transmission lines. This will enable companies to more quickly implement projects for the construction and reconstruction of gas transport system components, including special bypasses for reverse gas supply.

Conditions for building new electricity transmission lines will also be simplified, particularly in frontline regions, to ensure rapid restoration and reliable electricity supply to consumers.

“The Government has made a strategic decision aimed at enhancing the resilience of Ukraine’s energy system ahead of the autumn-winter period. This step will enable swift restoration of war-damaged electricity transmission lines and the construction of new ones, especially in frontline areas, while significantly reducing the time required for preparing and implementing technical solutions to improve the reliability and flexibility of the natural gas transport system,” said Energy Minister Svitlana Grynchuk.
