The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a decision to allocate UAH 609 million to continue compensation payments for damaged residential premises under the eVidnovlennia programme. The funds will be allocated from the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.

Thanks to these funds, about 9,000 families will have the opportunity to restore their homes damaged by russian attacks. This primarily concerns ongoing repairs with a maximum cost of up to UAH 200,000.

"Every day, russia attacks critical civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings. We must ensure that people affected by the terrorist country's shelling have access to housing assistance as quickly as possible. The eVidnovlennia programme is the most effective mechanism for obtaining compensation for the restoration of damaged housing or the purchase of new housing to replace that which has been destroyed. We must ensure its stable operation so that every family can restore their homes to good condition as quickly as possible," emphasised Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine — Minister for Communities and Territories Development, Oleksii Kuleba.

The need for additional funding arose due to the increase in the number of applications for repairs after the latest russian attacks. These funds will prevent delays in providing assistance and ensure the continuous operation of the eVidnovlennia programme.

In total, more than 150,000 families have already benefited from the  eVidnovlennia programme. More than 116,500 families have already received compensation for the restoration of damaged housing under the programme.
