The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will not impose any additional restrictions, inspections or punitive measures in connection with the monetization of subsidies. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.
"We have simplified maximally the mechanism of obtaining cash. We do not introduce any additional criteria or restrictions for obtaining subsidies, we do not introduce any inspections or punitive measures. That is, nothing has changed in the mechanism of assigning subsidies, only the form of obtaining subsidies has changed - instead of calculations on paper people will receive ready money. This is the only thing that will change as a result of such a step", the Deputy Prime Minister said.
According to Pavlo Rozenko, monetization is the final stage in the reform of the housing subsidy system, which triggered almost four years ago. "We started reforming the subsidy system almost 4 years ago. Even when I was Minister of Social Policy, I reiterated that the final stage of reforming the system of subsidies should be the full monetization of subsidies. Hence, this process is underway now", the Deputy Prime Minister stressed.
The top official emphasized that the logic of monetization of subsidies is absolutely relevant: people should get a real resource – ready money - which, after paying for housing and communal services, they will be able to dispose of in their discretion. "People actually receive an additional source of income. Having spent energy, gas in a more economical manner, citizens will have at their disposal additional funds that can be spent for their own purposes", he emphasized.
