In the framework of a visit to Turkey, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin was received by President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Participating in the meeting were Presidential Commissioner on issues of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev, First Deputy Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova, and Member of the Parliament of Ukraine Maria Ionova. Besides, at the meeting there were present deputy chairmen of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ilmi Umerov and Akhtem Chyigoz, who had been liberated from Russian captivity due to the efforts of the Turkish side.
The parties highly commended the development of Ukrainian-Turkish bilateral cooperation, in particular, the deepening of trade and economic activities and people-to-people contacts.
Apart from that, the parties discussed the main directions in the preparation for the seventh meeting of the Ukraine-Turkey High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council that will take place this year in Turkey under the co-chairmanship of the presidents of the two countries.
