  • New platform for Ukrainian scientists launched in Ukraine

    Last week, the Science at Risk platform was presented for scientists affected by russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

    The website allows promoting the expertise of Ukrainian scientists, finding international partners and donors, and telling the stories of Ukrainian scientists during the war to a wide audience. As part of the platform, Ukrainian scientists are involved in expert working groups that analyse the situation in the country and look for ways to solve both immediate and long-term problems.

    During the presentation of the platform, Ihor Taranov, Director General of the Science and Innovation Directorate of the Ministry of Education and Science, presented information on the damaged and destroyed research infrastructure, as well as the loss of scientific potential, including researchers and academic staff who were forced to leave the country as a result of the war.

    Representatives of the Fund of the President of Ukraine for the Support of Education, Science, and Sports, the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, and the Innovation Development Foundation also discussed the priority areas of support and the results of the work of these foundations during the period of martial law.
