A meeting of delegations of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the French Republic took place in Kyiv.
During the meeting, Mykola Solskyi, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, and Marc Fesneau, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the French Republic, paid tribute to the fallen heroes at the Wall of Remembrance of those who died for Ukraine.
The delegations also visited agricultural enterprises in Kyiv region.
According to Mykola Solskyi, Ukrainian farmers have suffered considerable losses as a result of russia’s full-scale invasion. In particular, much agricultural machinery has been destroyed and much land has been mined. The Ukrainian Government and its partners, in particular France, are actively supporting agricultural producers so that farmers can continue to sow and maintain national and global food security.
Marc Fesneau expressed his readiness to continue supporting Ukrainian farmers and underlined Ukraine’s role in the stability of global food security.
Earlier, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the French Republic signed a declaration of intent.
