Ministry for Strategic Industries and Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic sign Memorandum of Understanding in presence of President of Ukraine and Prime Minister of the Czech Republic


The Ministry for Strategic Industry and the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic inked a Memorandum of Understanding in the presence of the President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic.

The document envisages support for military-technical cooperation, joint efforts to support arms and ammunition production and other defence industry projects implemented by defence companies in Ukraine and the Czech Republic. It was signed by Oleksandr Kamyshyn, Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine, and František Šulc, First Deputy Minister of Defence of the Czech Republic.

"We are focusing on small arms, ammunition, and the modernisation of armoured vehicles," Oleksandr Kamyshyn commented on his Telegram channel.

The event took place as part of the working visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the Czech Republic in the presence of the Head of Ukrainian State and Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala.

In the near future, a Czech delegation will arrive in Ukraine to follow up on the agreements reached between the Ukrainian and Czech sides.
