FISU and EUSA will support Ukrainian athletes

On April 22, 2022, Serhii Shkarlet discussed with the President of the European University Sports Association (ЕUSA) Adam Roczek the development of student sports in Ukraine, Europe and the world.

"Ukrainian students worthily represent our country at international student sports forums, our teams are among the leaders in Europe and are among the top 10 countries in the world. Military action should not be an obstacle to the participation of Ukrainian students in international competitions, "the Minister wrote in Telegram channel.

Serhii Shkarlet noted that two important sporting events will take place this summer: the World Summer Universiade and the European University Games, Ukraine will be represented by almost 400 participants.

In addition, the Minister stressed that international organizations involved in the development of student sports in Europe and the world (FISU and EUSA) support Ukraine and provide students with the opportunity to represent Ukraine in competitions free of charge, including travel, accommodation and meals.

It will be recalled that the Minister of Education and Science addressed representatives of the parliamentary corps of the IPNED parliamentary network.
