In the face of the full-scale aggression of Russia, the Government, the Ministry of Social Policy and the Pension Fund have aсcrued all pensions indexing by 14% for Ukrainians. Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal told about that in a video address on March 3.

“Pensions have been accrued to almost 13 million people, and the money has already been transferred to banks. The payments have already been started on schedule, and, for the certain categories, payments have been made even sooner,” noted the Head of Government.

Also, on commission of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Government has prepared an assistance program for all Ukrainians who have lost the opportunity to work. According to the Prime Minister, every employee, every sole proprietor, every citizen of Ukraine, who has lost job due to the war and hostilities, lost an opportunity to engage in small or medium business, will unconditionally receive UAH 6,500 each during March. In the near future, the Cabinet of Ministers will announce how these funds will be obtained by Ukrainians.

Denys Shmyhal also said that according to the decision of the Government, Ukrzaliznytsia had started purchasing food, fuel, medicines, electricity and other important goods and services for people. The company will maintain close contact with the military-civilian administrations in order to promptly cover the urgent needs of the people and the state.

"Despite the full-scale aggression by Russia, the entire life-supporting infrastructure of the state is working sustainably. And so is the Government," the Prime Minister stressed.
